Cupping Therapy
Chinese cupping therapy is an ancient form of therapy used over hundreds of years in China to treat many illnesses and injuries. although not exclusive to Chinese Medicine the therapy has been developed and refined by TCM to target acupuncture points based on the Diagnostics of TCM.
The therapy involves placing glass cups on the patients skin (mostly the large areas) the cups are first heated by placing a flaming cotton ball inside of the glass cup to deplete the air inside and the remaining air cools before the practitioner quickly places the cup on the skin which in turn creates a vacuum.
The cup once in place pulls the skin upwards resulting in the bold vessels expanding and moving blood stagnation and Qi which has an effect of promoting healing. breaking up stagnation and congealed blood.
It is particularly useful for treating respiratory conditions, circulatory problems, digestive problems, facial paralysis, cervical spondyloais, herpes zoster, blood stagnation, arthritis, fibromyalgia, eczema, acne, high blood pressure, headache and migraine, anxiety and depression, lung problems, congestion, asthma etc.
